Kevin leads IG’s Portfolio Strategists team. Working collaboratively with the Wealth Planning Specialist network, the Portfolio Strategists are a team of CFAs who provide expert analysis and competitive insight to high-net-worth client portfolios and more sophisticated investors. Kevin has a hands-on background as both an IG Securities Specialist and Portfolio Strategist. Prior to joining IG in 2006, Kevin was an Associate Portfolio Manager for a Montreal-based private wealth management firm.

Sandra Brown
Vice-President, Wealth Planning Distribution
BCom, CIM
As head of Wealth Planning Distribution, Sandra leads a team of Wealth Planning Specialists and CFA-designated Portfolio Strategists who work collaboratively with IG advisors and the Advanced Financial Planning team, to deliver IG’s Private Wealth Planning experience. Sandra’s team provides additional expert, in-depth analysis for complex high-net-worth client portfolios. Her unique background as a Securities Specialist and in various leadership roles at IG has enabled Sandra to provide a clear vision for her team, whose commitment is to provide unbiased, comprehensive investment advice that optimizes clients’ portfolios while staying true to their overall personal and financial goals.

Aurèle Courcelles
Assistant Vice-President, Tax and Estate Planning
CPA, CMA, TEP, CFP®, FP Canada™ Fellow
Aurèle is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) specializing in tax and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and corporations. With a strategic focus on retirement and tax optimization, he is regularly in the media and provides advisor training on retirement and taxation with the goal of helping clients build financial plans better aligned to their long-term goals. Prior to joining IG, Aurèle spent several years working in the Winnipeg office of the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) primarily in the areas of small business and individual taxation. He received his TEP from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2003 and received the FP CanadaTM Fellow distinction in 2018. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF).

Jack Courtney
Vice-President, Advanced Financial Planning

A tax lawyer by background, Jack leads the Advanced Financial Planning team at IG. His expertise focuses on providing strategic tax, estate, and financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients with more complex needs, including business succession, executive compensation, and family trusts. Jack has practiced law in both the private and public sectors, providing him a depth of insight when advising on client cases across industries and professions. Jack is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and a Fellow of the Financial Planning Standards Council.

Mariska Loeppky
Assistant Vice-President, Tax & Estate Planning

Mariska is a Chartered Professional Accountant who completed the In-Depth Tax Program and the Advanced Tax Courses. Prior to joining IG in 2015, she spent 13 years working for a large accounting firm in Winnipeg. Mariska’s key focus is working with clients on complex estate planning issues, business succession, and tax planning with a special focus on cross-border issues. Mariska is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, has her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and is a Trust & Estate Practitioner, certified by the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Sheryl Troup
Assistant Vice-President, Tax & Estate Planning
BA, B. Comm (Hons), CPA, CA, TEP, CFP®, CLU
With a depth of experience in both accounting and tax, Sheryl’s key area of expertise is advising on client cases involving owner-managed businesses, farms, and high net worth individuals in planning for various life cycles of their businesses. She obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2006, completed the CICA In-Depth tax program in 2009, obtained her TEP in 2017, successfully completed the CFP® exam in 2017, and most recently obtained her CLU in 2021.

Terry Van Dreumel
Assistant Vice-President, Living Plan Portal
B.Sc.(Agr.), CFP®, CLU®, RRC
Terry began his career in the financial services industry in 1996 and has worked in quality assurance, support and training, and other roles related to financial planning software. He has also worked directly with clients as a financial consultant for five years. Terry has an honours degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph. He has completed numerous industry courses including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and the Life Licensing Qualification Program (LLQP). Terry has held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation since November 2001 and is also a Registered Retirement Consultant. He obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 2019.
