As President of IG Wealth Management, Quebec, Claude supervises 14 Region Offices with over 800 financial planning Consultants, and he oversees the operations of the Quebec General Office which numbers more than 300 employees.
A leader at heart, Claude began his career at IG as a Consultant in Manitoba. Upon returning to Quebec in 1992, he was tasked with opening a new Region Office in the Mauricie area before being offered a position managing a larger team in Quebec City in 1996. Promoted to head up the provincial sales network and administrative support team for Quebec in 2007, initially as Senior Vice-President, he became President in 2011. This dual role leverages his galvanizing leadership and consists in driving growth across our Quebec operations.
In a career spanning over 35 years, he has been involved in most areas of financial planning. A holder of the Financial Planner (F.Pl.) designation, Claude received the Career Excellence Award in 2017 from the Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF), which pays tribute to outstanding career achievement and commitment to the profession and the community, as well as exemplary practice carried out in accordance with the highest standards. In 2020, he was bestowed the honour of being named Fellow of the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF), a designation that recognizes exceptional, high‑profile career paths, as well as leadership and contribution to the advancement of the profession.
In addition to his responsibilities at IG, Claude is very much engaged in the community and has always been involved with young people. He served on the Board of Governors of the CFIQ (2010–2017), was a member on the Board of Directors of the IQPF (2011-2013) and the Institut de cardiologie de Québec (2000–2009), and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Montréal Heart Institute Foundation since 2009, as well as of Forces AVENIR, an organization that drives student engagement, since 2017. He has also been a member of the Steering Committee of the IG Wealth Management Chair in Financial Planning at Université Laval in Quebec City since it was founded in 1998. Lastly, he supported the fundraising campaigns of La Fondation Jean Monbourquette and McGill University Renewable Energy. As president and co‑founder of the Centre régional de baseball haute performance de Québec, he has been contributing toward the development of baseball with young Quebecers since 2002.
